Emerging Indian actor Taha Shah Badussha, known for his role as Tajdar Baloch in the Netflix series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” has entered into a three-film agreement with Ramesh Sippy Entertainment.
Ramesh Sippy, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, is celebrated for his direction of classics such as “Sholay” (1975), “Andaz” (1971), “Seeta Aur Geeta” (1972), “Shaan” (1980), “Shakti” (1982), and “Saagar” (1985), as well as the acclaimed television series “Buniyaad” (1987). His production company has also been behind notable films like “Bluffmaster” (2005), “Taxi No. 9 2 11: Nau Do Gyarah” (2006), “Dum Maaro Dum” (2011), and “Nautanki Saala” (2013), along with the successful Netflix series “Aranyak.”
In addition to “Heeramandi,” Badussha has appeared in the ZEE5 series “Taj: Divided by Blood” (2023) as Prince Murad and has an upcoming role in “Paro: The Untold Story of Slavery.”
The first film in Badussha’s three-film deal will be directed by Rohan Sippy, who is known for “Bluffmaster,” “Dum Maaro Dum,” and “Nautanki Saala,” and served as showrunner for “Aranyak.”
